I read The NIght Circus by that same author, and I couldn't stand it. I did finish it but did not enjoy it, for similar reasons like what you said. That must just be her writing style. Every chapter was a different character, but there were so many she was skipping between, I couldn't remember who was who. And each one had a different relation to the rest of the characters and a different time period. She skipped so much and so quickly I never really cared about any of them, which sucks. I like finding a character I'm rooting for, she was overly descriptive about scenes. Which I like a lot of description so I can feel the place in my mind. But it came across as very superficial and unnecessary to me. I had a hard time following the plot because it was just all this skipping around of characters I didn't care about and lots of this room looks like this. I was glad to be done with it.

what an inspiring journal! I’m just about to start one of my own, only I have the artistic talents of an infant 😆 But I love the idea of coming back to my journal when i have a quiet evening and doing the space fillers, headers and doodles. Would you consider making a quick 10 min vid on the tools that you use for some of the different effects? Acrylic ink and brush pens are a great unknown to me. I have crayons, but I’d love to try them out 😂

I borrowed the audiobook of Lone Women from the Libby library and loved it. The reader pulled me in right from the start and kept me coming back for more every night for two weeks. Definitely going to buy the soft cover for future revisits. Thank you for the book suggestion😍
